As a Personal Trainer, you want your website to be informative and stand out from your competitors.
Your website is most likely the first place a visitor finds out about you and the place they decide whether or not to hire you.
The information you display on your website is important and helps visitors determine if you would be a good fit way before they start their exercise journey with you.
As a Fitness Coach, Personal Trainer, or Exercise Guru, you need to include certain sections on your website.
As it can be frustrating deciding what to include, we’ve detailed 5 sections we believe are a must for every fitness website.
Information About Yourself
Potential clients are going to want to know who you are. A lot of people don’t buy exercise plans; they buy the trainer behind the exercise plan.
This is your chance to really sell yourself and demonstrate why you would be a perfect match for someone.
Do you have any specific qualifications or achievements that set you apart from your competitors? How did you get into coaching and what makes you special?
Don’t be afraid to highlight your best qualities. One or two paragraphs should be good. Keep your writing light & friendly and end it with a call-to-action.
Services
What services do you offer? Be specific. Are you an expert in fat loss or muscle building?
Maybe you offer something that not many other Personal Trainers offer. Make it clear what areas you like to work in so you attract the kind of clients you actually want to work with.
You can choose to include your prices if you wish. Some trainers prefer not to, but we think it’s best to make it clear from the beginning.
Contact Information and Location
Your contact information is very important.
Visitors will need some way of reaching you if they like what they see so include a phone number and email address to make this easy for them. You could have a dedicated contact page where you display an easy to submit contact form to make the process easier.
If you have a physical location, such as a studio or gym, be sure to include that too!
If you visit clients at home or at parks, your contact page can be a great place to display what areas you service and are willing to travel to.
Testimonials
Testimonials really help cement your authority in your market. Display a few reviews from your current clients on your page to showcase your skills and expertise.
If you’re a new trainer and lack testimonials, offer to train your family and friends and then get them to provide some reviews (ideally positive ones!)
Once you have a few clients signed-up, be sure to ask them for their reviews!
Make sure you have a Google My Business profile too! It’s a great way for people to find out about you and an easy place for your customers to leave reviews.
Social Media
Everyone is on some form of social media these days.
Make sure you display the links to your profiles on your website. It could be a good idea to display the links in your website’s header and footer so they appear on every page. Use those platforms to communicate and interact with your current and potential clients.
If you don’t have much time, focus on one social platform where you think your target audience is, and post engaging content.
Remember, quality over quantity. Don’t flood your profile with meaningless content. People won’t return to your page if it doesn’t provide great information.
